ICAART 2026: Call for Papers
The International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence (ICAART 2026) aims to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners interested in the theory and applications in the areas of Agents and Artificial Intelligence. The scientific goal is to stimulate the development of new ideas for further progress.
Onsite and Online Options
To accommodate various situations, ICAART 2026 is offering the option for either physical presence at the venue or virtual participation (via PDF slides or pre-recorded videos).
Co-located Events
ICAART 2026 will be held in conjunction with MODELSWARD 2026, ICISSP 2026, and PHOTOPTICS 2026. Registration for ICAART allows free access to these co-located conferences (as a non-speaker).
Scope
On one side, the conference focuses on Agents, Multi-Agent Systems, Software Platforms, and Distributed Problem Solving. On the other side, it focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Representation, Planning, Learning, Scheduling, and Perception. Applications using Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), Legal Technologies, and Quantum Computing are also highlighted.
Papers describing original work are invited in any of the areas listed below. Accepted papers, presented at the conference by one of the authors, will be published in the Proceedings of ICAART with an ISBN. Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance, and originality. Both full research reports and work-in-progress reports are welcome. There will be both oral and poster sessions.
Special sessions dedicated to case-studies and commercial presentations, as well as tutorials dedicated to technical/scientific topics, are also envisaged. Companies interested in presenting their products/methodologies or researchers interested in holding a tutorial, workshop, or special session are invited to contact the conference secretariat or visit the conference website.

Submission Guidelines
Authors can submit their work as a complete paper (Regular Paper or Position Paper) or an abstract. Please note that accepted abstracts are presented but not published in the proceedings.
- Regular Papers represent completed and validated research.
- Position Papers portray a short report of work in progress or an arguable opinion about an issue.
All papers must be submitted in English, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling, and address one or several of the conference areas or topics. Each paper should clearly indicate the nature of its technical/scientific contribution and its applicability.
Double-Blind Review
To facilitate the double-blind paper evaluation method, authors are kindly requested to produce and provide the paper WITHOUT any reference to any of the authors, including personal details, acknowledgments, or any other reference that may disclose the authors’ identity.
Plagiarism Policy
Only original papers should be submitted. Authors are advised to read INSTICC's ethical norms regarding plagiarism and self-plagiarism thoroughly. Submissions must not substantially overlap with work published elsewhere or simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference with proceedings. Papers containing any form of plagiarism will be rejected without reviews. Authors should also avoid using an excessive number of self-citations.
Submission Platform and Formatting
All papers must be submitted through the online submission platform PRIMORIS and should follow the instructions and templates found under Guidelines and Templates (available via the conference website).
