Call for Papers - SRDS 2025

The 44th International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems (SRDS 2025) invites submissions for its conference held in Porto, Portugal, from September 29 – October 2, 2025.

Topics of Interest

The major areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Dependability, security, and privacy of distributed systems (cloud, high-performance, fog, edge computing, etc.).
• Techniques and algorithms for fault tolerance, fault recovery, robustness, scalability, and real-time (coordination, replication, failure prediction, etc.).
• Methods and tools for designing, implementing, verifying, and operating dependable and secure distributed applications.
• Analytical, simulative, and experimental assessment of dependable and secure distributed systems.

Submission Types

We welcome the following types of submissions:

• Research papers: Original research and experimental results.
• Practical experience reports (PER): Ongoing industrial projects and exploratory applications.
• Tool papers: Architecture, implementation, and usage of tools.

Important Dates

• Abstract Submission (Extended): May 2, 2025
• Full Paper Submission (Extended): May 9, 2025
• Notification to Authors: June 27, 2025
• Camera-Ready and author registration: July 7, 2025
• Conference Dates: September 29 – October 2, 2025

Submission Guidelines

• Papers must be written in English.
• Research Papers, Practical Experience Reports, and Tool Papers should be no longer than 10 pages, excluding references, using the IEEE two-column format for conference proceedings.
• Additional details (proofs, data tables, code snippets) can be included in a clearly marked appendix beyond the page limit, at the reviewers’ discretion.
• Authors are requested to register submissions with a title and abstract, then submit manuscripts in PDF format on the submission page.

Anonymization

All submitted papers will undergo double-blind reviewing. Anonymization is required:

• Remove author names and affiliations from the title page.
• Remove acknowledgments of identifying names and funding sources.
• Reference your own past work in the third person.

Submissions that do not conform to the above anonymization and formatting guidelines will be desk rejected.

Best Paper Awards

Awards will be given for the best paper and the best student paper. To be eligible for the best student paper award, at least one author must be a full-time student at the time of submission, and the student(s) must have made a significant contribution to the paper.

All accepted papers will compete for the “Prof. C. V. Ramamoorthy Best Paper Award”.
