International Conference on Computational Creativity

نمای کلی
The 16th International Conference on Computational Creativity (ICCC’25) will be held in Campinas, Brazil, from June 23rd to June 27th, 2025. The conference is the sole scientific event focused exclusively on computational creativity, covering all its aspects, including research, art, science, philosophy, and engineering of computational systems exhibiting creative behaviors.
Call for Papers: ICCC’25
Welcome to the 16th International Conference on Computational Creativity (ICCC’25), taking place in Campinas, Brazil, from June 23rd to June 27th, 2025. Computational Creativity (CC) is a discipline that explores the potential for computers to be creative, either in partnership with humans or as autonomous creators.

Themes and Topics
Original research contributions are solicited in all areas related to Computational Creativity research and practice, including, but not limited to:
- Applications of Computational Creativity (e.g., music, language, visual arts, design, games, education).
- Human-Machine Co-Creativity (systems, studies, frameworks for human-AI creative partnership).
- Computational Creativity Evaluation (metrics, frameworks, methodologies for assessing creativity).
- Social Models (computational models of social aspects of creativity, collaboration, team dynamics).
- Computational Paradigms (cognitive aspects of creativity: heuristic search, analogical reasoning, cognitive architectures).
- Interdisciplinary Perspectives (philosophical and sociological studies in the context of creative AI).
- Data and Creativity (data science approaches, resource development, datasets for creative AI).
- Societal Impact (ethical considerations, societal impact of computational creativity and generative AI).
- Psychological Factors (computational models of emotion, surprise, reflection, motivation in creativity).
- Provocations (raising new issues that question the discipline's foundations).
A note on generative AI models: their application must be properly situated in the CC literature and evaluated according to acceptable practices in the field.
Paper Types
We welcome five types of full paper submissions:
- Technical papers: Focus on hypotheses about creative behavior in computational systems, emphasizing solid experimentation, models, proof, and/or argumentation with strong evaluation.
- System or Resource description papers: Describe the building and deployment of creative systems or resources, emphasizing engineering achievement, technical difficulties, techniques employed, and reusable resources, with some evaluation.
- Study papers: Draw on allied fields (psychology, philosophy, etc.) or appeal to broader AI/CS areas to present novel perspectives on building, assessing, or deploying CC systems.
- Cultural application papers: Present the use of creative software in cultural settings (e.g., art exhibitions, concerts, literature), focusing on the system's role, results, technical details, and audience feedback.
- Position papers: Present opinions on CC research culture, future directions, speculative explorations, or current issues, emphasizing careful argumentation and thought leadership.
Submission Instructions
Submission occurs in two stages:
- Initial Submission: Submit a title and abstract (100–200 words recommended) via EasyChair.
- Full Paper Submission: Update your abstract submission with the full paper file by the deadline.
- Page Limit: 8 pages + up to 2 pages of references.
- Review Process: Double-blind review. Authors must anonymize their papers (remove institutional references, refer to past work in the third person, etc.).
- Formatting: Papers must be submitted as PDF documents formatted according to ICCC style.
- Submission Platform: EasyChair
- Double Submissions Policy: Work submitted to ICCC must not be under review in another scientific conference or journal.
Camera-Ready Submission Instructions
- Log into the EasyChair platform, select your paper, and upload the camera-ready version.
- Length: Max 8 pages + 2 pages of references.
- Format: PDF, ICCC style.
- Presentation: At least one author must present the paper at the conference.
Student Grants
ICCC’25 has partnered with the Artificial Intelligence Journal (AIJ) to offer 10 grants covering conference registration fees for selected students.
Presentation Instructions
- Full Papers: Prepare slides for a 15-minute talk followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.
- Short Papers (Oral Presentation): Prepare slides for an 8-minute talk.
