Australasian Computing Education Conference

The Australasian Computing Education Conference (ACE) is a conference dedicated to research, teaching, and innovation in computing education across all levels and contexts. ACE 2025, the 27th annual conference, will be held during the week of February 10, 2025, at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, in conjunction with Australasian Computer Science Week (ACSW). The proceedings will be published in the ACM Digital Library.
ACE 2025: Call for Participation
We warmly invite you to submit a research or practitioner paper to the 27th annual Australasian Computing Education Conference (ACE'2025). ACE is a high-quality international conference, run in-cooperation with SIGCSE, that provides a forum for educators and researchers to share innovations and insights in computing education.
ACE2025 will be held during the week of 10th February, 2025, at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, and will run in parallel with several other events as part of Australasian Computer Science Week (ACSW).
Topics of Interest
Topics of interest for the conference include, but are not limited to:
- the use of technology in computing education;
- course content;
- curriculum structure;
- methods of assessment and evaluation;
- pedagogy and learning theories;
- mobile, flexible, online learning; and
- valuations of alternative approaches
Submission Guidelines
- Both research papers and practitioner papers must be between 5 and 10 pages in length (inclusive of any references).
- Submissions should be made via EasyChair at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=acsw2025.
- When starting a submission, select the track "Australasian Computing Education Conference 2025".
- Submissions should be in two-column format (i.e., use "sigconf" style in the documentclass for Latex) and use the ACM SIG Proceedings template.
- Submissions should be made to EasyChair in PDF format.
- Papers must be in English and must be original contributions that have not been published previously, nor submitted to other conferences or journals in parallel with this conference.
- Authors are encouraged to review the points on authorship in the Guidelines on Research Practice in Computer Science by the Computer Research and Education Association (CORE).
- The review process is double-blind. Authors must refrain from identifying themselves in their own paper.

- Short papers (work in progress): (up to 4 pages, oral presentation)

- Posters (paper-based): (2 pages, oral presentation)
- Posters (slide-based, only): (oral presentation)
- Presentations (slide-based, only): (oral presentation)
- Demos: (2 pages)
Publication Cost
As the proceedings will be published in the ACM Digital Library, authors need to be aware of the new cost structure for ICPS conferences.
The publishing cost ranges from $US350 to $US1000, unless authors work for an institution that is a member of the ACM Open program or are in a low-income country.
- Payment Deadline: No later than 28 December 2024.

Registration
At least one author of an accepted paper must register to attend ACSW.
