نمای کلی
The 25th IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM 2025) is scheduled for November 12-15, 2025, in Washington DC, USA. Recognized as the world's premier research conference in data mining, ICDM provides a platform for sharing original research, practical developments, and innovations across all aspects of data mining, including algorithms, software, systems, and applications. It attracts a diverse audience of researchers, application developers, and practitioners from fields such as big data, deep learning, and machine learning, aiming to advance the state of the art in data mining.
Call for Papers - IEEE ICDM 2025
The IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM) has established itself as the world’s premier research conference in data mining. It provides an international forum for sharing original research results, as well as for exchanging and disseminating innovative and practical development experiences. The conference covers all aspects of data mining, including algorithms, software, systems, and applications. ICDM draws researchers, application developers, and practitioners from a wide range of data mining-related areas, such as big data, deep learning, pattern recognition, statistical and machine learning, databases, data warehousing, data visualization, knowledge-based systems, high-performance computing, and large models. By promoting novel, high-quality research findings and innovative solutions to challenging data mining problems, the conference seeks to advance the state of the art in data mining.
Topics of Interest
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Foundations, algorithms, models, and theory of data mining, including big data mining.
- Machine learning, deep learning, and statistical methods for big data.
- Mining heterogeneous data sources, including text, semi-structured, spatio-temporal, streaming, graph, web, and multimedia data.
- Data mining systems and platforms for analyzing big data, including methods for parallel and distributed data mining, federated learning, and their efficiency, scalability, security, and privacy.
- Data mining for modeling, visualization, personalization, and recommendation.
- Data mining for cyber-physical systems and complex, time-evolving networks.
- Data mining with large language models.
- Novel applications of data mining in data science, including big data analysis in social sciences, physical sciences, engineering, life sciences, climate science, web, marketing, finance, precision medicine, health informatics, and other domains.
We particularly encourage submissions in emerging topics of high importance, such as ethical data analytics, automated data analytics, data-driven reasoning, interpretable modeling, modeling with evolving environments, multi-modal data mining, and heterogeneous data integration and mining.
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original papers that have not been published elsewhere and are not currently under consideration for another journal, conference, or workshop.
- Paper length: Maximum of ten (10) pages in the IEEE 2-column format (refer to IEEE Templates). Submissions longer than 10 pages will be rejected without review.
- Review Process: All submissions will be triple-blind reviewed by the Program Committee based on technical quality, relevance to the scope of the conference, originality, significance, and clarity.
- Submission System: Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the online submission system: https://www.wi-lab.com/cyberchair/2025/icdm25/scripts/submit.php?subarea=DM.
- Email submissions are NOT accepted.
- No separate tracks for industrial, application, short paper, or poster submissions.
Important Dates
All submission deadlines are end-of-day in the Anywhere on Earth (AoE) time zone.
- Paper submission deadline: June 6, 2025
- Notification to authors: August 25, 2025
- Camera-ready deadline: September 25, 2025
Triple-Blind Submission Guidelines
Authors must ensure no identifying information is included in the text of the paper. Bibliographies must be referenced to preserve anonymity.
- Anonymization: Omit names and affiliations. Use “Anonymous†in formatting templates. Refer to prior work generically (e.g., "Smith's earlier work (Smith 2005)" instead of "We extend our earlier work"). Exclude citations to unpublished internal documents or previous versions of the submitted paper.
- File Naming: Use descriptive names (e.g., "ANewApproachtoClustering.pdf") and avoid names that reveal author identity.
- Code/Data: If shared during review, it must be anonymized (e.g., using Anonymous GitHub or Anonymous OSF), removing contributor names, emails, institutional affiliations in comments, commit messages, READMEs, and configuration files.
Reproducibility Guidelines
Authors must complete a reproducibility checklist at the time of submission. Authors are encouraged to:
- Include detailed technical information (proofs, assumptions, algorithm pseudocode).
- Provide comprehensive experimental methodology, empirical evaluations, and results.
- Report results on publicly available datasets whenever possible.
- Make code and data publicly available when feasible.
Reviewers will assess the reproducibility of the reported results.
Awards
Awards will be conferred for the Best Paper and the Best Student Paper. A selected number of best papers will be invited for possible inclusion, in an expanded and revised form, in the Knowledge and Information Systems journal.
Attendance
At least one author of each accepted paper must complete the conference registration and present the paper at the conference. In cases where an author is unable to attend in person due to visa issues, a pre-recorded video presentation is allowed. The presenting author must still register for the conference.
