All accepted papers will be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) by Springer Nature.

Submission Types

  • Full Papers:

    • Regular research papers: Reporting novel, solid research findings within the scope of the conference, proposing new models, querying or data handling methods, algorithms, data structures, and system architectures for data management.
    • Experimental re-evaluation papers: Assessing previously published research results in terms of performance evaluation or application of methodologies.
    • Page Limit: 16 LNCS style pages, including references.
  • Short Papers:

    • Early findings/work-in-progress reports: For prompt dissemination and discussion of early research results, including early experimental findings and implementations.
    • Vision papers: Discussing possibilities and challenges in exploring radically new system architectures or methodologies for data management.
    • Page Limit: up to 10 LNCS style pages, including references.

The program committee may decide to accept a submission as a short paper if it reports interesting results but does not justify publication of a full paper.

Submission Guidelines

  • Papers should be submitted in PDF format using the CMT online submission system at: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ADBIS2025
  • ADBIS uses single-blind reviewing, which means that authors should list their names and affiliations as part of their submission.
  • Authors should consult Springer’s authors’ guidelines and use their proceedings templates (LaTeX or Word) for paper preparation.
  • Authors are encouraged to include their ORCIDs in their papers.
  • The corresponding author must complete and sign a Licence-to-Publish agreement.
  • An author of an accepted paper must register to ADBIS 2025 to have the paper published, and accepted papers must be presented at the conference by one of the authors.

Shepherding

Borderline papers will go through a shepherding phase. Authors will be given a list of issues/improvements to address within 3 weeks. The PC chairs will ultimately decide on the paper's acceptance based on the revised version.

DEI and Childcare

The ADBIS community encourages diversity and inclusion. ADBIS 2025 participates in the Database Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiative. For more information, see the ADBIS 2025 DEI statement.

To support attendees with caregiving responsibilities, a limited number of childcare places will be available. Please contact zheying.zhang@tuni.fi by August 10, 2025, to request this service.

Use of Generative AI

Authors should explicitly disclose the use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in their manuscripts when these tools are employed for more than just editing the author’s text. This disclosure can be made through a statement placed at the end of the manuscript, preceding the References section. Submissions that utilize LLMs without disclosure may be subject to immediate desk rejection.
